Carihuela

Carihuela a fabulous combination of old Spanish fishing village and thriving holiday resort and one of the most popular suburbs of Torremolinos and, over the past two years, Carihuela has been the subject of tremendous investment and improvements by the Torremolinos city council with the intention of elevating the resort to one of the best on the Costa del Sol.


Originally a small traditional fishing village situated on the edge of a beautiful beach which stretches from Torremolinos to the famous Benalmadena marina the village has expanded of the years yet till retains, in its heart, the same authentic atmosphere of years gone by. The secret is in the fact that the resort has kept the exteriors of its old buildings while modernising the interiors plus the resort has a beautiful promenade with the very best of fresh fish restaurants and wonderful Chiringuitos lining the beach. One line back from the beach road is a visitors’ dream with a narrow walk only street teeming with small bars and bistros and souvenir shops this area is packed with shoppers in the day and crowded with drinkers and diners of a night time.


A short walk of only five minutes will take holiday makers to the night time entertainment clubs and discos which remain open until 5 AM. The beach road is fantastic, Palm tree lined and with grassed and flowered areas plus the beach itself has to be one of the best on the Costa del Sol.


Bars and restaurants can still be purchased here at lower prices than in other better know resorts but this will not last long but, at the moment, the resort offers great investment potential plus a foothold into the Spanish life style at a reasonable price.
